This 16" 458 SOCOM AR-15 upper features a Shaw Match Grade 416R stainless steel HBAR barrel paired with a carbine-length gas system, 15" free-float M-LOK handguard, and compensator. Designed around the big-bore .458 SOCOM cartridge, this upper provides a powerful AR-15 configuration well suited for hog hunting, big-game hunting, and recreational shooting. The AR-15 big bore upper receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and includes the forward assist and dust cover assembly installed. It features a matte black hardcoat anodized finish meeting MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 2 specifications.

16" Shaw Match Grade 458 SOCOM Barrel:
At the center of this 458 SOCOM upper is a 16" Shaw Match Grade barrel manufactured from 416R stainless steel. The HBAR-profile barrel features a 1:14 twist rate, 5/8x32 muzzle threads, and a standard AR-15 big bore barrel extension with a single feed ramp.

15" Free-Float M-LOK Handguard:
The upper features a lightweight 15" extended rifle-length narrow-profile free-float M-LOK handguard machined from 6061 aluminum. M-LOK mounting slots run along the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, providing mounting space for compatible accessories. The handguard features a matte black hardcoat anodized finish meeting MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 2 specifications.

Carbine-Length Gas System:
The 16" Shaw 458 SOCOM barrel is configured with a carbine-length gas system and .750" low-profile gas block with Nitride treatment.
